Mid-Year Rewind 2023

It’s almost that time of the year again. We’re almost at the six-month mark, so in true My Venus Soul fashion, it’s time for the mid-year rewind. Has this year been flying by for you too? Let me know in the comments.

This year has been a doozy but not in a negative way. This year life was shaken up and I’ve been finding my footing ever since. It’s definitely been a learning experience, one that I’m proud of. These are my final months of being in my 20’s and I feel like I finally understand myself. I’m able to see life through a new lens, one that doesn’t have a rose-colored filter over it. I’ve made peace with myself and with my life. I’ve found happiness and the will to keep going within myself and that’s the best early birthday gift that I could’ve ever given myself.

The next 6 months are about taking flight. I’ve found my footing and it’s time to soar. I can’t let fear or doubt stand in my way any longer because that would be me doing a disservice to myself. This has been a long time coming but I’m ready and I’m excited for what the near future holds. My life is changing in big ways, and I can’t wait to take things to the next level. Expect big things from me. I saw 1:23 as I typed that last sentence. If you know, you know.

Things I’ve Learned This Time Around:

  • Being myself feels so good. I can’t believe there was ever a time that I wanted to be someone other than myself. I’m great and I’m going to be loud about my greatness starting now until I die.

  • There is no time like the present. Putting my goals and dreams on the backburner has not helped me, instead it has hindered me. I’m done hindering myself.

  • Appreciate and cherish people while they’re in your life, in the present moment. Tomorrow is never promised.

  • Taking time off is SO important. I’m honestly still learning this lesson and I’m taking it one step at a time.

  • Running a business for the last three years has taught me so much about myself, other people, and the ways of the world. Running a business has helped me grow in unimaginable ways. It’s hard at times but I love it and I wouldn’t give it up for the world. It’s taught me the importance resilience and commitment.

Mid-Year Journal Prompt Questions:

  • Describe your experience so far this year using three words. How do you feel about those three words?

  • If you made any New Year resolutions, did you follow through? Why or why not?

  • In what ways have you changed since last year?

  • Have you been keeping your promises to yourself? Why or why not?

  • What is the most valuable lesson that you have learned so far this year?

  • Are you content with the choices that you have been making?

  • What are your goals for the next 6 months?

Below I have included the mid-year journal prompt in image form, so you can save it and return to it whenever you feel the need to.
