End Of The Year Rewind 2022

It's almost December. Almost Winter time. It's the end of the year, and what better way to prepare than to reflect, redirect, and re-purpose. Reflect on this year. Redirect our energy from places that no longer feed the soul and shifting focus to what matters. Re-purpose old ways of being and doing, and transform the old into the new. As we grow and evolve, so must our ideals, the company that we keep, and the places that we frequent. The time is for change is now, and I'm ready to answer it's call.

2022 went by like a speeding train. It literally came and went in the blink of an eye, making it almost impossible for me to keep up with the days. The only time that I was aware of what day it was when I was working and had to look at the date or a calendar. Even though this year flew by, it still had many memorable moments. Many moments where I remembered to be present and to live in the moment. Fun experiences that were spur of the moment. Being brave enough to try new things and take risks. Heart to heart conversations and deepening of bonds, as well as the loosening and release of them, too. This year has been quite something, but that isn't a bad something by any means. I laughed, cried, fell, got back up, learned from my mistakes, and kept it pushing. This year required me to be extremely self focused. Anything that held my attention for too long had to be assessed to make sure that I was being intentional with my decisions. I went into 2022 with a plan, and let me tell you.... that plan started out clear and concise, but as life started doing it's thing I had to make 1,001 alterations to the plan. Some things didn't work out, and honestly... I'm so thankful for that. Always remember, rejection is divine redirection. Without that redirection, I wouldn't have ended up where I am now, and I am exactly where I am meant to be, WHEN I am meant to be, and I couldn't be happier.

Since it is the end of 2022 I figured I should make it a tradition to post an end of the year journal prompt every year. If you enjoy this one, then be sure to check out last year's blog post too.

End of 2022 Journal Prompt:

  • How was 2022 for you?

  • What was your most memorable/favorite moment of the year?:

  • What important lessons did you learn, and how will you apply these lessons to your life?:

  • What does living with intention mean to you, and have you been living intentionally? Be honest:

  • In what areas of life can you be more teachable and open to what you do not know?:

  • What is something that you are releasing/leaving behind?

  • "My goals for next year are....":

  • "A promise that I am making to myself is..."

Below I have included the journal prompt in image form, so you can save it for later. I'll also be posting it on Instagram (@myvenussoul)

Important Lessons That I Learned This Time Around:

  • Live in the moment.

  • Sometimes you just gotta fuck around and find out. You just can't plan for everything, and sometimes hands on experience is the best way to learn. Responsibly, of course.

  • It's never too late to start, and it's ok not to get something right on the 1st or 10th time. Learning takes time, so give yourself time.

  • LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!
